PDC, Photochemical Differential Scanning Calorimeter

Name Photochemical Differential Scanning Calorimeter
Type PDC
Overview The PDC is specially designed for detecting the heat of a photochemical reaction. Since light is directly irradiated only on the sample and reference via optical fiber, the irradiation of highly intensive ultraviolet rays is possible.
Features • With a built-in high-sensitivity heat flux detector specially designed for detecting photochemical heats of reaction, the PDC provides low noise, high-sensitivity data from samples such as thin films.
• Extremely intense irradiation is achieved by directing the ultraviolet light directly over the sample and reference exclusively with optical fiber.
• Irradiation intensity can be set by the continuously variable ND filter. The selection of wavelength is facilitated by exchanging filters or the optical wavelength selection mirror.
• The adoption of a multi-function shutter controller enables irradiation time at 0.1-second increments. Opening and closing of the shutter can be performed either manually or automatically by using a CPU.
